OUR TEAM
Having experienced first-hand the enormity, chaos, and sheer destructive force of the 2003 Canberra Bushfires (amongst others), we believed there had to be more to bushfire survival and property protection than solely relying on fire service intervention to carry this heavy load.
The more we investigated the preparation and maintenance of the surrounding landscape, the siting, design and construction of our homes, the provision and accessibility of water supplies and most importantly, the planning for the eventuality of a bushfire, the more it made sense. We can’t always stop bushfires from happening. Still, we can choose how we prepare and respond, even well before it happens, through planning, design, and engineering.
While we had a deep understanding and extensive knowledge of fire operations and building fire safety, we were eager to understand our unique environment more fully, bushfire behaviour, and how these elements impact where and how we build and choose to live, and we undertook post-graduate studies in Bushfire Protection.
We are passionate about the principles and philosophy of bushfire protection (life, property, and environment) and are keen to share our understanding and knowledge and how it applies to your project.
